What a fabulous day!
The sky has been blue with lovely fluffy white clouds.
It’s been so warm for the time of year. I’ve had the windows open and let the fresh air in ( does this sound like an advert for carpet cleaner????) and cleared away a fair amount of cobwebs both in the house and in my head!!
I’ve had a really productive day, not just busy but productive which means I’m sat here gloating….my house is clean and tidy! Although my washing machine is out of commission and the pile of dirty washing is growing by the day. As I can’t do anything about it, I shan’t let it worry me…until of course Hubby and I have no clean clothes left to wear!!
My eldest sibling has come to stay and we are sitting here with nibbles and a glass of wine…hic…we’re on our second!
We went for a perfect evening stroll with the dog and the camera and I took some of my first ever evening shots…which I’m quite pleased with even though they are a long way off perfect!!!
A little further on we came across our first patch of snowdrops, and I”m sure they won’t be the last photos of snowdrops that I will be taking this year!
My first proper play with Gimp
As we were walking down the lane we caught the most beautiful scent and spent the next five minutes sniffing all the hedgerow trying to work out what had such a amazing perfume and it was this flowering Mahonia. Sorry we don’t have scratch and sniff!!!
Love the black background on this one.
And then as if by magic we came across a tree that was just coming into blossom, I find it amazing that after just one day of warmth how everything seems to come alive. Sorry it’s a little blurred but I’m sure you’ll appreciate the beauty of it. In fact I quite like the fuzzy effect!
I should warn you that we are planning on going out with tripods this weekend so get ready for a barrage of photos very, very soon.
Hope you’ve all had some sunshine and let’s hope it decides to stay a while longer.
