DAY 360 (winter wonderland)

This is what greeted me this morning on my walk….it is truly cold out there, believe it or not…it hasn’t snowed….this is ice!!!20121213-113456.jpg

I was all togged up with my new jacket….very toasty! In fact I was wearing a pair of thermal  long johns with my waterproof, windproof trousers, then I had a thermal vest, a tee, a polo neck, a jumper and my jacket, topped off with a woolley hat and gloves…I couldn’t feel a thing!! In fact I could hardly move, I looked like a two year old that had been kitted out for the arctic…!! But at least I stayed warm.

I would love to say that I’m one of those people that gets back from a walk all pink and glowing but no, I came back feeling one more degree under and had a definite pasty look about me…but I’m back indoors now and it’s lovely and warm and I have my coffee at my side.  I’m working tonight, I really don”t want to go but – needs, must. So I think a lie down on the sofa with my cuddly blanket and my dog appear to be the order of the day!!

I’m taking all the right tablets and drinking lots of fluids so I should be up and about and back to my old self in no time…..Hope you’re all keeping warm.

Have a good day….

PS I can’t believe I have only 5 days left of my photographic blog challenge. This is the most amazing feeling – I really didn’t think I would do it….a year is a long time, and given that I never stick at anything, I think I can hold my head up high!!

  1. That last picture combined wordpress’ snow transported me to somewhere else. Mind you, I’ve never seen real snow.

Take care. It must be freezing!

    • Oh my goodness, where do you live? Everyone must experience snow at least once in their life time…I love it even though it always causes mayhem here in the UK! We’re not very organised!!!

  2. Ha. I live in Delhi, India. I would head to the hills to witness snow but we usually have exams in December-January. ‘Tis a shame, really.
Maybe once I’m done with my post-grad, I’d be able to enjoy snow. 🙂

    • Oh yes, you must go….it’s wonderful but don’t forget to wrap up!! We don’t get that much snow here in the UK so when it does come it causes a lot of excitement! I love it!! Especially if I don’t have to go to work and can huddle down in the house and just go for walks!

Let me know what you think...
