Sunday morning – we leave this campsite tomorrow morning after nearly two months! I just want to show you some photos of the staff and you’ll understand why I’ll find it hard to leave. This is the welcome you get at Chertsey Camping and Caravanning Campsite …
- Lizzie and Paul
- Some people are so shy!
- Gotcha!
- Company Car!
- Do NOT Disturb … Day Off!
- On Call!
- Lizzie’s hamper of flowers
Lizzie has possibly the greenest fingers in Surrey, she has created a mass of colour outside their residence on the site. Paul has been full of advice that he gives freely and with good grace. Every day, for the last two months I’ve watched these guys cycle round and round in circles showing people to their pitch, mowing the grass, cutting back trees, building pitches, cleaning the loos, clearing the drains and as I’ve said in the past posts, always a smile and what smiles! I can recommend this place 100% – here is the link to their website check it out … Chertsey Campsite – it’s a brilliant location, especially if you want to visit London, Kew Gardens, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, so if you’re coming down south, this is the place to come to.
Unfortunately the site managers, Mark and Trish, have a well deserved day off today so I didn’t manage to catch them but hopefully I’ll be able to capture their smiles tomorrow before we leave! Also missing today is Richard, who has also been an absolute star, always finding time to have a chat with me, I’ll do my best to get a shot tomorrow.
Yesterday I posted photos of a fabulous little dog called Gibbs. Being a dog owner myself I like photos of my dog, that look like my dog, the artistic side of me likes something a little more abstract so I had a play, the way I do!! And this is what I came up with!! I just love it. Wouldn’t this look cool on a white wall?
The Hubster is officially finishing work today! Eeeek, he’ll be retired, like me, well for the duration of our trip anyway. By the way, get your thinking caps on, we’re going to need jobs when we get back in May 2015 so let me know if you have any ideas or vacancies ha ha!!
The people are the best part of any place. And you’re right, that picture would be amazing on a white wall.
Absolutely, the campsite was brilliant and now we’ve left, I’m missing it!! Glad you like the image of the doggie 🙂

Oh Yvonne, thank you so much for coming, it was so lovely to see you. I was absolutely amazed how many people came, we didn’t end the day until way past 10pm but it was brilliant, my head was a little fuzzy in the morning though!!
Bon voyage! Love, Janet Mike & Lilly xx
